“Her attention to detail—and the foresight to ask questions which may have been on our back burner—was truly an asset to this auditing process. The thoroughness and care she put into getting to know our organization put us at ease during what can sometimes be an uncomfortable process. Because of Ms. Sandler’s advanced skill-set, we were able to clearly understand both the why and how of her recommendations. Stephanie is a wealth of knowledge, especially in the nonprofit sector, and provided the constructive feedback we needed to thrive.”
CASE STUDY 1: Program development and growth planning for an early-stage program
The CEO of a nonprofit organization engaged us to complete an operational audit and SWOT analysis for a one-year-old program. After receiving our report, the CEO hired us to implement the recommendations, which included expanding their evidence-based programming and developing strategic programming partners to increase capacity.
Within two years of working with this client, they were invited to speak about their new initiatives at two leading conferences, received multiple five-figure grants from foundations, and increased their special event fundraising by more than 300%.
CASE STUDY 2: Operational review and transitional growth plan
A newly hired CEO of a mid-sized nonprofit organization engaged us to complete an operational audit that would make recommendations on how to strengthen their infrastructure and processes, as well as outline a growth strategy. We presented a comprehensive report to the Board of Directors with more than 50 recommendations covering operations, governance, and programming. 90% of our recommendations were implemented within 12 months, demonstrating our priority in making realistic strategic recommendations based on an organizations existing resources. Approximately one year after the first engagement, we were re-engaged to help develop a strategic plan for seamlessly merging a remote office with their headquarters.
CASE STUDY 3: Interim COO, operational oversight, and growth strategies
A social justice organization was experiencing sudden growth and engaged us to serve as their interim COO, providing daily operational oversight, strengthening internal processes, designing new high-profile programming initiatives, and providing planning documents for potential growth strategies. Due to our success, our six-month engagement was extended to 18 months. We were later re-engaged for another 16 months.
